A warning to Gamefly members who want to play Gat out of Hell on PS4

I am a huge fan of the Saints Row series and while I know some people don’t like the direction they took the series, I enjoyed Saints Row 3 and 4 more than 1 and 2. When Gat out of Hell was announced I was incredibly excited as it seemed like an awesome concept. So I threw the PS4 version of the game into my Gamefly Queue and waited for it to arrive.

When I saw that the game was on its way, I was super excited. So I got my mail today and was excited to see that the game did indeed arrive. I put the disk in my PS4, booted up the game and discovered that Gat out of Hell was no where to be found. I searched high and low on the disk to find it but I couldn’t. The version that I put into my Gamefly Queue said “Saints Row IV Re Elected + Gat out of Hell“, the sleeve even said the same thing. Well I found the answer

Apparently the Xbox One version of the game does indeed include Gat out of Hell on the disk. The PS4 version however comes with a voucher code in the case to download Gat out of Hell. What the hell is this BS? It would have been one thing if Gamefly warned people about this before they shipped out the games but they didn’t, which is apparently on the game’s review page on Gamefly which has been flooded by angry costumers who didn’t know any better. The game’s description on the website since has been updated but that really doesn’t do me any good now.

Okay, first world problems I know but what upsets me the most about this is the fact that now I have to use up even more precious space on my PS4 hard drive if I want to play this. Instead of simply putting the game on the disk like the Xbox One version, I have to install the game to my PS4 hard drive and then use more space to download the add on. Guys come on, this is ridiculous.

My Xbox One hard drive is completely full at the moment so if I want to play new games on that, I have to find something to uninstall first. Hell I have only had my PS4 since Christmas and already I have used up more than half of the hard drive space. Guess I better start saving up for some 1TB hard drives.
