As you would expect, Street Fighter V is getting a collectors edition and pre-order exclusive costume

I’m sure a lot of Street Fighter fans have already pre-ordered Street Fighter V in order to get access to the beta. Capcom decided to make things really annoying when it comes to pre-orders by announcing special costumes for pre-order bonuses. Okay, costumes as pre-orders, that’s okay, but Capcom has also announced that they are retailer exclusive.

  • GameStop – Battle Costumes Ryu
  • Best Buy – Battle Costume Cammy
  • Amazon – Battle Costume M. Bison
  • PSN Store / PC Digital – Battle Costume Chun-Li

This is incredibly infuriating. First of all, I will be playing Street Fighter V on the PC. Second, I am not a Chun-Li player, I am a Cammy player, so how do I get that costume? Also, what about the people that pre-ordered at GameStop months ago and then want the M.Bison costume? Cancel at GameStop and then pre-order again at Amazon? Okay, If you want to do pre-order bonuses, that’s fine, can you at least try to not make it chore?

Anyways, Capcom also announced a special collectors edition for Street Fighter V, which will retail for $99.99. This I will say looks pretty cool and en extra $40 for all that stuff seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Here is what is included in the collectors edition…

  • SFV game disc
  • 10 inch, fully painted Ryu statue
  • 48p hardcover artbook
  • Code Cards for additional downloadable content:
  • Udon Digital Street Fighter Comics
  • SFV Soundtrack Sampler
  • Twitch One-Month Subscription to Capcom Fighters channel
