As a user of the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel, I was very excited to hear they are going to making some new wheels for this generation of consoles. Logitech’s coming out with two wheels, one for the Sony crowd and one for the Xbox One and PC crowd.

The Logitech G29 Driving Force is the wheel made for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 while the Logitech G920 Driving Force will work with the Xbox One and PC.

Both wheels offer the pretty much the same features with an exception. Each offer dual-motor force feedback and are made to last.  Like the G27, the new wheels feature LEDs on the front and pedal shifters on the back. Various buttons are also on the front for more control.

A nice pedal unit comes with both wheels with a brake pedal, gas pedal, and a clutch.

For the G920, you can add an optional gear shifter unit which is a six-speed manual stick. It came with the G27, but here it’s a separate purchase.

The G29 for the PlayStation consoles will be out in July for a price of $399.99. The G920 for the Xbox One and PC will be available in October for $399.99 as well. If you’re interested in the Driving Force Shifter, that’ll set you back another $59.99. Both will on display at E3 so I’ll be sure to stop by and take a look at them.
