At a recent GameStop Manager Conference, Nintendo announced that the New Nintendo 3DS will launch in the U.S. as part of a special bundle on September 25th…and yes, you read that correctly.  The New Nintendo 3DS will be a more compact version of the New Nintendo 3DS XL and will come bundled with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and include two cover plates and an amiibo card for $219.99.

Nintendo also announced a new Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system exclusive to GameStop stores to be released on October 30th for $199.99, just in time for the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes on October 23rd.  The system is gold-colored and will feature the Hylian Crest on the front.

Other products announced range from various amiibo cards that will launch with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (September 25th), three new Wii Remote Plus controllers inspired by Bowser, Toad, and Yoshi (September 11th for Toad and Bowser, October 16th for Yoshi), and the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer (September 25th, $19.99) that allows players to enjoy amiibo figures and cards on all Nintendo 3DS systems.
