Plex, an awesome media front end, was announced for the two Sony consoles last month, but they weren’t available here in the United States yet. Well, that changed yesterday.

Plex has announced that North and South America regions should have access to the application as of yesterday afternoon. You’ll need to be a Plex Pass member to utilize this feature on the PlayStations for now at least. Pricing on being a member ranges from $4.99 a month, $39.99 a year, or $149.99 for a lifetime membership.

I’ve been using Plex for a few years now and have it working in conjunction with Kodi. Plex has such a nice and easy interface and really makes streaming your content in and out of your home very easily. I’m not a Plex Pass member myself, but enjoy plenty of benefits from it even without some of the nice extra features you get being a member.
