Announced last year at E3, Insomniac’s beloved Playstation platformer Ratchet & Clank is getting a movie. Initially hoping for a 2015 release, it looks like we’re about a year away from the release as Focus Features will be bringing the boys to the big screen on April 29th, 2016. While so many times video games meet Hollywood and end up being the worst of both worlds, it’s looking like the Ratchet and Clank movie will be far removed from that fate. Top Hollywood talent are lending their voices to the poroject like John Goodman, Paul Giamatti, Rosario Dawson, and Sly Stallone. However, the original character voices you know and love will remain unchanged and familiar. The full press release on the film details is below or you can check it out on the Playstation Blog.

There’s also a bit in there about the upcoming PS4 re-make of the original Ratchet & Clank game. The game is set for a spring 2016 release, so right about the time of the film.
