For a yet unknown reason Sony has decided to disable archiving footage of recently-released horror game Until Dawn while using the PlayStation 4 share feature. There haven’t been any other games on the console that have experienced this limitation. To to be clear, this disabling of archive footage is only with the built-in PlayStation 4 share feature and not on the actual Twitch website.

Using PS4 Share to broadcast “Until Dawn”? The publisher has disabled archiving for this game. We’re reaching out to hopefully enable. ^JM

The only reasoning that comes to mind is Sony is worried that people who watch streams of the game might not purchase it later. However, it’s still an odd move by the publisher especially since they haven’t yet communicated the reasoning behind their decision. Chuck recently published his review of Until Dawn.
