Naughty Dog has announced that the Left Behind DLC, a prequel to their critically acclaimed game, The Last of Us, will be available through the PSN as a standalone purchase starting next week. The standalone product is going to cost $9.99 and the DLC add-on will also see a price drop to match (it was $14.99 perviously). Naughty Dog is billing this as a nice, low cost introduction to the world of the Last of Us. If you haven’t played the game yet and have a PS3 or PS4, you’re really missing out. In my opinion The Last of Us was the best game of the last generation, combining good gameplay with a remarkable story. We gave it a 9 on it’s original release, an 8.5 for the remastered version, and a 9 for the Left Behind DLC.

Full details about the release of the standalone Left Behind prequel, as well as some pricing details on the multiplayer bundles can be found at this Naughty Dog blog post.
