Competitive eSports infrastructure provider UMG Gaming is teaming up with military video game charity Operation Supply Drop. Both are veteran-founded organizations, and now Operation Supply Drop is the official charity of UMG, gaining exclusive charity presence at all UMG events. This partnership will not only allow the charity to gain exposure at UMG sponsored LAN tournaments, but also improve Supply Drop’s mission by providing tournaments and special events to veterans and US military service members alike.

I haven’t served in the military but I have several good friends that do–in the Navy, Army and Marines–and we have a couple vets on the Gaming Nexus staff as well. We’ve had discussions about gaming and how it provides a much-needed relief from the rigors of service, so UMG and Supply Drop’s partnership will be providing a vital service to our men and women in uniform.
