Voxel-licious MMO, Trove, free to play on Steam

My formative adult years were spent in massively multiplayer online role-playing games. The turn of the 21st century was a heady time for MMOs. There were entire magazine publications dedicated to them. You’ve probably never heard of magazines either. I’m guessing this is what getting old feels like.

But there’s a new MMO on Steam right now. Free to play and everything. Just have to click the Play Game button. It’s called Trove. It takes on a wide range of fantastical genres, and even has the LEGO-like aesthetic of a voxel-based Minecraft. Looks neat!

There are dungeons, dragons, pirates, snow queens, bone deserts, cities in the clouds, cyberpunks, biker gangs, stargates, mushroom kingdoms (it goes on and on), all in your quest to defeat The Shadow.

Nothing like a little free-to-play MMO to cure your post-Steam Summer Sale wallet syndrome. Trove launched July 9.
