NCSOFT and Carbine Studios has recently announced that WildStar, one of the most critically-acclaimed MMOs of 2014, will be going free-to-play this fall.  Just because it’s going free-to-play though doesn’t mean that Carbine will let the quality drop as they’ll be keeping the experience at a high quality with regular updates.  That being said, starting this fall all players will be able to level up to level fifty, acquire all Amps and abilities, and participate in all dungeons, raids, adventures, and so on for no cost.  However, players can also purchase an option membership for a monthly fee that will provide various convenience bonuses and enhancements to XP, crafting, currency, item drops, and reputation.

More info can be found in the official press release including more details about the upcoming transition as well as players receiving exclusive items and rewards if they maintain a subscription from June 15th through the FTP transition.
